A Magic Year Ahead!

Welcome to all our new members….I know many of you got Marvin’s Magicfor the first time at Xmas and are really getting hooked with your new found skills. There is a wonderful journey to come as I’m sure our regulars will testify. magic is such a wonderful hobby….when performed correctly it brings happiness and wonderment anytime anyplace. To get a reputation of being the life and soul of the party can I give a little advice? You should make sure you fully understand each trick and thoroughly practise before showing it . That way you will be more confident and your audience will be amazed. Thank you for all the emails and tweets over the holidays. We are busy preparing for some exciting new products and shows which we look forward to sharing. Have Fun!

Watch Marvin on TV on New Years Eve

Marvin Berglas, the award winning magician and creator of Marvin’s Magic will be featured on Television’s Fifty Greatest Magic Tricks on Channel 5 on New Year’s Eve at 8pm.
It will feature some of the best tricks ever on TV and some leading lights in magic giving their views!

Marvin on QVC Wednesday am & at Peter Jones on Saturday

Marvin Berglas will be back on QVC this week to showcase various products. It is likely to be the last chance to see Marvin on air this year. The show starts at 9.00am on Wednesday 14 December. 

This coming Saturday 17 December Marvin will make an appearance within Peter Jones in Sloane Square.

Marvin’s Magic products will be demonstrated and showcased throughout the busy Saturday before Christmas, but Marvin himself will be on hand to sign any Marvin’s Magic products  between 5pm and 6pm.

Marvin Honoured at The Emirates!

It’s been well documented that Marvin Berglas has been a lifelong Arsenal fan. He was the first Premier League resident magician entertaining the VIPS at Box and Club Level for pre match hospitality at Arsenal FC. He played for 16 seasons in the Arsenal Ex Pro Celebrity XI and was featured in the Arsenal Opus book which was part of the timecapsule momentoes.

This season  Arsenal celebrate their 125th Anniversary and the podium around Emirates Stadium has been adourned with  sixty special commemorative banners celebrating past players, celebrity supporters and loyal sevants of the Club.

Marvin was thrilled to be chosen to be included amongst them. His one is situated near to the new Thierry Henry statue and was unveiled in time for their special celebration match v Everton on the weekend. It will be up until the end of the season in May 2012.

Marvin entertains Lords & Ladies,Politicians and Preseidents!

Marvin Berglas is in constant demand at VIP events. He has entertained Sporting Legends, Pop Stars, Presidents and Royalty. Just last week he was on hand at an event at the Savoy with Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg , Cherie Blair, plus many Lords and Ladies . Former speaker of the House of Commons Betty Boothroyd was also impressed with Marvin’s Magic…so much so that to ensure everyones maximum attention she called out her famous words…”Order, Order!!”.

Marvin a big hit in Dubai

Marvin made a whirlwind trip to Dubai for a special appearance and product signing within Hamleys impressive store in the Dubai Mall. An enthusiastic crowd gathered in anticipation of Marvin’s visit and he did not disappoint performing some spell binding magic before signing autographs. Marvin said ” I was totally blown away by the opulence and scale of things at the Dubai Mall, which is right by Berj Khalifa – the tallest building in the world. The set up and staff at Hamleys in Dubai are first class and they and the hundreds that visited made me feel very honored and proud to attend. I look forward to being invited back in the future!”

A Magical trip with the Barbarians

Marvin Berglas was on hand again at a top London night spot last week to entertain the world famous Barbarians Rugby team on their first night in London ahead of their showdown with Australia at Twickenham.
The team, comprising invited word class players from New Zealand, England, South Africa, Ireland, Scotland, France, Italy, Fiji and Argentina enjoyed some magical entertainment live and close – up.
Marvin first had dinner with coach Graham Henry and assistant coach Steve Hansen who guided New Zealand to the 2011 RWC triumph before impressing the players.
They included Danny Cipriani, Bryan Habana and new boy Sam Tomkins who is a rugby league player. The players were tweeting about how much thay all enjoyed the magic!
Marvin was special guest in the Royal Box and got presented a signed Barbarians shirt. Unfortunately an impressive Australian side took the honours on the day.

Marvin entertains The Barbarians ahead of Twickenham showdown

Marvin was  again chosen to especially entertain the  legendary Barbarians Rugby Squad at an intimate top West End restaurant ahead of their showdown with England at Twickenham on sunday.

This is the fourth successive Barbarians squad Marvin has entertained .

 Says Marvin ” I have the  dream job on occassions like tonight where I am treated to  a great dinner , chatting to some of the top sports stars from all over the world and then gaining their applause and acclaim with my magic…The Barbarians and Arsenal in one week…it doesn’t get much better!”

Marvin lights up Spellbound Ball!

A glittering night of magic and illusion was enjoyed by all who attended the Willow Foundation’s Spellbound Ball.
Marvin introduced many of his award winning friends in magic who came from all over the world to entertain.
Marvin literally lit up the room with a cosmic Mexican wave using an interactive trick that involved the entire audience and 1000 Lights from Anywhere!
On stage to help explain the necessary throwing and catching skills , he enlisted the help of three legendary Arsenal and International goalkeepers.
Bob Wilson, Pat Jennings and David Seaman…who with Marvin , first showed their hands empty before making Lights appear from Anywhere!

Marvin hugely popular with TV audience

Marvin Bergla appeared live on QVC demonstrating and talking about some of the Marvin’s Magic range.
Clearly a great hit with the viewing audience as thousands rang in to order products when Marvin was on air. Indeed some products were so popular that Marvin had to cut short some routines because they sold out!

Marvin Back on QVC this Wednesday

Marvin is scheduled to be back on QVC this Wednesday Nov 2nd . There are two appearances scheduled. One at 9.00am and another at 9.00pm.
Marvin will be demonstrating Marvin’s Magic Drawing Board which sold out on air on his last appearances. Also, the Fifty Greatest Card Tricks , Fifty Greatest Magic Tricks . There will be debut appearances of the Fifty Greatest Light Illusions and Mind Blowing themed sets.
This is a great opportunity to watch demonstrations live and close up from the Creator of Marvin’s Magic…. Marvin Berglas.

Award winning magician Marvin Berglas is scheduled to be at a special event in John Lewis Oxford Street – Toy department. This is a press and media event to launch the the top ten likely Xmas toy products.

Proud Honors for Berglas family

Marvin’s father, International Man of Mystery David Berglas was bestowed the top honor by the Magic Circle – the Devant Award.
It seemed very appropriate as Devant (also called David) was also a famous magician and Past President of the Magic Circle. The award is a minature replica of the statue in the Circle’s Headquarters.
This accoldae is arguably the highest possible in magic and has been awarded to only a few lifetime achievers for outstanding services to the art of magic.
It was proud day for the Berglas family who were in attendance.
Marvin himself is a proud recipient of his Membership to the Inner Magic Circle with Gold Star.

Marvin’s Magic ’sells out’ on air at QVC

Marvin Berglas was back on air live at the QVC studios this weekend demonstrating some Marvin’s Magic products.
Thousands of Marvin ’s Magic fans took the opportunity to order after watching Marvin’s performance.
Marvin said “It is really great to be able to demonstrate and show our tricks live on air and get such a strong and instantaneous reaction….I expect go be back on air several times before Xmas.”

Marvin doing magic on QVC this weekend

Marvin Berglas , creator of Marvin’s Magic will be back on QVC this Sunday 25th September  at 11am following the sell out during his last airing.

Marvin will feature Marvin’s Magic Drawing Board, Fifty Greatest Card Tricks and Fifty Greatest Magic Tricks.

 

These are products designed by Marvin and he will be personally demonstrating these.

Victoria Beckham buys Marvin’s Magic in NY

Victoria Beckham who was in New York for Fashion Week took time out to buy each of her boys some Marvin’s Magic  Lights From Anywhere at FAO Schwarz.

Both David and Victoria Beckham have bought Marvin’s Magic before from Harrods in London which was documented in the British Press.

 

Marvin with the magic legends at Palladium

Marvin will be catching up with some true magic legends and friends ahead of the forthcoming London Palladium Magic Show next week at a special VIP reception.

Amongst them is 100 year old John Calvert and two of Marvin’s favorite magicians whom he was recently with in Las Vegas …..Mac King and Jeff Hobson The last time Marvin was with  centurion John Calvert was at the Magic Circle’s centenary in 2005 .

 

Marvin proud to be featured in Arsenal’s 125 celebrations

Arsenal fan Marvin Berglas was photographed for a  special 6 foot photo banner which will feature around Arsenal Stadium.
The club selected only 60 past players, long serving staff and  celebrity fans to feature on these prestigious banners which will adorn the podium at Emirates Stadium this season to celebrate their 125 year anniversary.
Says Marvin….”This is a great honour for me and is right up there with having a full page in the Arsenal Opus Book which is already a time capsule keepsake!. Other  interesting places my image has been featured in recent years….The big screens in Times Square, on a London taxi cab , in the Beano comic and on packets of cereal!…..all amazing but as a big Arsenal fan this tops the lot!”.

Marvin mesmorises Heston

Marvin Berglas entertained Celebrity chef Heston Blumanthal and the entire team from the world reknowned Fat Duck restaurant at a special private event  .
Amongst Marvin’s one man show was a personalised magical piece especially for Heston which was said to be jaw dropping.
Marvin pointed out the similarities between Magic and their unique menu stimulating all the senses and being a matter of perception. Marvin received a great reception and a note saying….. “Thank you for last night, your magic was superb, we are all still boggled!”

Marvin was in Las Vegas this summer with some of the world’s best known magicians.

Sensation – Live Variety Show

Over the years Marvin’s Magic has been a magnet for some truly top talent who came through our ranks as demonstrators in the Marvin’s Magic sections within Hamleys and Harrods.
Our past demonstrators reads like a who’s who of Magic and Variety. These include many stars, movers and shakers in the entertainment industry.
Many acknowledge their time at Marvin’s Magic as a great help to honing their audience management skills.
One of our past demonstrators – Richard Griffin was a winner of the Magic Circle’s Young Magician of the Year Competition which was sponsored by Marvin’s Magic. Marvin Berglas was later one of the judges of this prestigious competition.

Richard went on to become a top professional magician and tours the world with his superb magic act.
On Saturday October 22nd Richard is producing and starring in “Sensation – the most exciting variety show in the UK”. It will be at the Harlow Playhouse for one day only with two performances.
